Present efforts of the church to realize the dream of caring for the orphans and vulnerable children
Encouraging partnership and volunteer teams – missions
The East Africa Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church has encouraged and approached brothers and sisters in Christ to come to the Conference to help handle the challenges of orphans and vulnerable children.
Such initiatives include:
The South Georgia Partnership, Holston Partnership, the Kentucky Partnership, Individual Churches such as Crossroads UMC, Priglime Rest Baptist Missionary Church, Hope United Methodist Church and Individuals
To date South Georgia has provided support to the Conference through:
Capital development support which helped us to construct two classroom blocks at house Humble School.
Transport to the
Episcopal Office
Scholarships to children at Humble United Methodist School.
Functionalizing the Hope for Africa Childrens’ Choir. The South Georgia Conference under the charismatic leadership of Bishop Mike Watson has coordinated and sponsored the costs for lodging, travel and meals among others of this choir to USA.
The Hoslton Conference has supported the conference provided scholarships to some children from Sudan at Humble School, medical care through mobile clinics, Pastor’s training, stipend to Pastors, digging of boreholes, Micro Credit Finance to Women Projects and construction of Dar es salaam school.
